Dupont Circle is a Washington Metro station in Washington, DC on the Red Line.

The station serves the northwest edge of downtown Washington, lying under Dupont Circle with two entrances: the north entrance, on Q Street Northwest between Connecticut Avenue and 20th Street, N.W., and the south entrance, on 19th Street. The Q Street entrance features a large round hole with terraced plants around the escalator, and a tube at the edge, giving riders on the escalator the impression that they are descending into what is locally known as "the bowl." The station had to be built very deep to get under a former streetcar tunnel which goes under the circle, as well as Rock Creek Park. Service began on January 17, 1977.
