The Du Page 3 refers to the towns of Burr Ridge, Hinsdale, and Oak Brook in the Chicagoland area. The three suburbs put together constitute an area of prestige and wealth that rival that of Lake Forest, Winnetka, and other towns to the north of Chicago. The term was coined in the pages of the Chicago Tribune in the 1990s.
