Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc., known to many as Jim Dunlop, is a popular music supplies company based out of Benicia, California. Their company is most famous for their wah-wah pedal, the Dunlop Cry Baby. Dunlop is also well-known for its other guitar products, such as slide barrels, capos, and guitar picks. Dunlop Manufacturing, Inc. has bought many other music supplies companies such as Dallas-Arbiter and MXR.
Users of the company's products include Green Day, Zakk Wylde, Slash, Nickelback, Avril Lavigne, Tom Morello, Deftones, Metallica, Slayer, Linkin Park, Snow Patrol, Ozzy Osbourne, The Ataris, Hoobastank, Godsmack, Blink 182, Sum 41, Velvet Revolver, Eric Clapton, Buddy Guy, David Gilmour, and the late Jimi Hendrix.
Dunlop's most popular pick is their Tortex pick. It is a pick that imitates the texture of a tortoise shell. It has a grippy feel, so players dont drop the pick while playing.
