Dunia Elvir (born in La Ceiba, Honduras) is a journalist and TV news reporter and producer.

Since Dunia Elvir's family moved to the United States, she started her career in California in a Mexican Radio in 1989, later she moved to KRCA Channel 62 in Los Angeles, California as reporter and TV news presenter [1][2].
Since 2000 she works for Telemundo in Los Angeles [3]. She is also correspondent of TV programme: "Cada día con María Antonieta Collins" (Every day with Maria Antonieta Collins)[4].
Dunia Elvir was virtually unknown in her own country Honduras until she was invited to be a presenter at 2006 Miss Honduras Beauty Pageant [5].
She has interviewed Salma Hayek, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Vicente Fox, Tony Saca, Rosa Marin (former US Treasurer)

She was nominated for emmy in the category of Golden Microphone of best investigative report.
Elvir has received many recognitions because of her reports on human stories[6].
She was invited to visit the White house by National Association Latin Leaders (NALL)[7].
