Dunedin Blue Jays
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dunedin Blue Jays are a minor league baseball team based in Dunedin, Florida. The club plays their home games at Knology Park, which seats 6,106 fans. The stadium opened in 1990.
The team, which plays in the Florida State League, is the High-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays major-league club.
When Major League Baseball owners considered locking out the regular players and using "scabs" instead for the 1995 season, Dunedin would have been used as the Toronto Blue Jays' home field due to Canadian laws concerning replacement workers. The MLB labor dispute was resolved before the plan was implemented, however.
The major league club does use the facility annually for spring training.
