The Duke of Beaufort's Hunt is one of the oldest and largest of the fox hunting packs in England. It was founded by the 1st Duke of Beaufort in 1682 and continues under the auspices of this family. Whilst the sport of foxhunting was made illegal by Parliament in 2005 the pack says that it is hunting within the law.
The Beaufort hunt some 760 square miles in Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, centered on the estate of the Dukes at Badminton. Hunting occurs on about 125 days per year, usually 4 days a week during the season.
