Dubai Desert Classic

The Dubai Desert Classic is an annual professional golf tournament which is usually played in February or March. It takes place in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates and is part of the European Tour schedule. It was inaugurated in 1989 and was the first European Tour event in the Middle East. It is played on the "Majlis" course at Emirates Golf Club, although it moved to Dubai Creek Golf Club for two years in 1999 and 2000.
The event is notable for attracting some of the biggest stars in world golf with the assistance of generous appearance fees.
