Elizabeth, New Jersey as seen across Newark Bay from Bayonne, New Jersey. The former Singer Sewing Machine factory is to the left of the Church of St. Patrick's dual Gothic steeples along the waterfront. The piers in the foreground are all that remains from the Central Railroad Company of New Jersey's four-track mainline bridge across the bay. At one time it was the worlds largest lift-span bridge.
