A screenshot of Accelrys Discovery Studio Visualizer Pro 1.5 running on Microsoft Windows XP.

  • Application ©2005 Accelrys Software Inc.
  • Operating system ©2002 Microsoft Corporation

Fair use rationale: image accompanies instructions on how to download and use the free-of-charge application, for the purpose of creating images of chemical structures to add to Wikipedia. In this context, it is useful to give readers of the instructions a quick feeling for what the page describes and how it relates to Wikipedia. Furthermore, the image is used in such a way not to tarnish the reputation of Accelrys, instead showing its software in a good light. I feel that Accelrys would have no issues with the use of this image on WP, and contacting them to ask for specific permission seems unnecessary, having seen that specific permission was not granted for most of the screenshots of applications on WP (such as Internet Explorer. If anyone disagrees and feels Accelrys should be contacted, I will readily do so.
