[edit] Plot

Kate becomes annoyed by the weird behaviors of Earl, a Winfred-Louder employee who works at the tie counter. Kate begins to think that Earl is crazy and complains to Drew. Drew insists that Kate is exaggerating about Earl, but he soon discovers that Earl is very delusional and awkward to be around. Earl is so delusional that he begins to believe that he is the store manager. When Drew looks over Earl's psychological profile in the store's files, he discovers that Earl has been several mental institutions. It turns out that when Drew hired Earl, he had failed to look on the back of Earl's application to see his mental institution history. When Earl refuses to see the company psychiatrist, Drew fires him, believing that he is insane. After being fired, Earl threatens Drew and tells him that he knows where he lives. When Drew gets back home, Lewis, Oswald, Kate and Jay keep Drew company and try to protect him in case Earl comes to Drew's house. Kate also asks Chuck, Winfred-Louder's security guard, to come to Drew's house and make sure it is safe. Drew refuses Chuck's recommendation to protect his house from Earl and says that he will not live his life in constant fear. After everyone leaves, thinking that Earl is not going to show up, Earl comes over and tells Drew that he wants to seek counseling. It turns out that he actually plans to shoot Drew, but before he can, Chuck returns and apprehends him.
