[edit] Plot

At Drew's house, Drew has just returned from a convention in Las Vegas. Kate, Lewis, and Oswald realize that he looks angry over the whole trip. Drew reveals his whole trip to the rest of the gang, beginning with Kate driving away with his luggage after she dropped him off at the airport. He tells his friends that he planned on buying some clothes for the convention, but first went to play at a craps table. Drew was on a hot streak but was distracted by a woman he believed was a hooker and ended up losing all his money. After realizing he had no more money for the rest of the trip, he jumps into a large fountain angrily. Another player who lost all of his money joins him, and they begin collecting all of the coins in the fountain. A security guard finds the two of them and are about to arrest them when a waitress, Diane, covers for him. They immediately hit it off and and they go out drinking once she gets off work. After getting drunk, they go to a rock and roll church and Diane convinces Drew that they should get married. He agrees thinking it is one big joke. At the conclusion of the wedding the Jimi Hendrix "minister" reveals that the ceremony is real. When Drew learns that Diane knew it was real all along, he gets angry. Diane apologizes and explains that she is fighting for custody of her kids, as her ex-husband was trying to force them to move back to Cleveland. She figured that if she got married, the judge would be more likely to let her keep her kids. After Drew hears the explanation, he agrees to pose as her husband for the social worker who will visit Drew's house to check in on the new family. Drew's flashback story ends and Diane's kids run into the house. They haven't met Drew yet, so they run up to Oswald and call him "Daddy". At Winfred-Louder, Drew attempts to get a date with another woman, but Mimi tells her that Drew is married. Mimi is also gives Diane gifts that will make Drew and Diane's love life more exciting. Drew picks up the kids and drives them home in his carpool, and the kids enjoy irritating Larry. As Drew, Diane, and the kids practice for their meeting, the social worker shows up a day early. Unfortunately, Diane's daughter climbs on the roof of the house in an effort to follow Drew's recommendation that she find a place to be alone with her thoughts. The social worker is impressed when Drew helps talk her down, and notes that the family worked well in a crisis situation. Diane thanks Drew for his help, and they announce that they will get a divorce in a week.

[edit] Quotes

Drew (speaking about marriage to Diane): No! You get a dog! Or you take a cold-hearted look at your parents' life and the urge passes!

Lewis (as he meets Diane and her family): Check it out: Drew went to Vegas and all he brought us were these lousy T-Shirts with KIDS in them!

Drew: Hey kids, did you know Larry pees when you tickle him?
