Drek

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Drek was originally a term used by Yiddish-speaking Jews (mostly from Eastern Europe) meaning "shit" or "crap." Over the years it has entered into more general usage and is often used by non-Jews to describe something which is considered to be of inferior quality. Certain movie critics have used this term in creative and unexpected ways, describing a movie or a performance that is sub-standard. In cities with larger populations of Jewish people of Eastern European descent, it would not be uncommon to hear someone say, "That is just so much drek." Drek was used as the name of the final boss and supervillian of the video game Ratchet and Clank.
