[edit] Plots
[edit] Dream Mutt
Billy wants a new dog but can't decide between four, so Grim uses his powers and merges their best traits, making a (Hanna Barbera-like cartoon) big talking dog called Wiggy Jiggy Jed. Billy and Jed have a lot of fun, but the dog becomes angry when he is put in a dog house to sleep. Jed plans to conquer the world so he can rule all beds, and creates a war machine with things that he found in Grim's trunk. Mandy, who predicted this would happen, already has a solution. The only way that Billy can stop Jed is by destroying him, by dropping on him a form of slime, supplied by Grim, which acts as a very powerful enzyme. It therefore destroys Wiggy Jiggy Jed's body, leaving no trace except for his Civil War cap, which Billy wears to remember him by.
[edit] Scythe For Sale
Billy wants to buy Sea Critters, but he needs to make money by selling junk in a yard sale. He accidentally sells Grim's scythe, which was with the golf clubs, to Irwin. Irwin uses the scythe to bring destruction and chaos upon the city of Endsville. He also hypnotizes Mandy into loving him. Grim eventually seizes control of the scythe away from Irwin and transforms him into a Sea Critter to be Billy's pet.
[edit] End Credits
Iriwn gradually runs out the field to meet the mesmerized Mandy. He trips and drops the scythe. The scythe falls on his head. Irwin is having a picnic with Mandy. He spreads butter on a toast with the scythe. The scythe shoots bolts at a bee hive; Irwin starts running and slams into the tree, bringing the beehive down onto his head.
[edit] Cultural References
- A parody of Doggie Daddy, the full name of Wiggy Jiggy Jed is Sir William Wexell Wingding Whizzlebang the Third.
- Dream Mutt is a parody of reality shows. The episode was hosted by talk-show host, and Mandy and Harold were brought in the studio, speculating will Billy be happy with his new pet. According to the subtitles, Harold is "Billy's dad, former Navy SEAL", and Mandy is "Billy's friend, napkin collector".
- The line "Now that's what I call Doggystyle" might be a reference to Snoop Doggy Dogg's legendary first album.
- Wiggy saids "So you can lick my candy-striped..." This is a Futurama reference. Bender's catchphrase is "Bite my shiny metal ass!" and when Billy and Wiggy and arguing about the bed, Wiggy says this while holding a candy cane. Many have speculated that this is a jab at Michael Jackson's genitalia, reported by many witnesses as being "striped like a barber pole".
- In the episode Scythe for Sale, Billy was searching for Grim's missing weapon in the dumpster. A green character pops out and exclaims, "Get out of my house!" The character was likely made to resemble Oscar the Grouch from Sesame Street.
- After that, Grim and Mandy are shown standing under a poster that says "Wonderdog", this is probably a parody of "Underdog."
- Wiggy Jiggy's name can also be inspired of a Banjo-Tooie character, Jiggy Wiggy.
- Every time when Wiggy Jiddy makes a joke or a pun, he breaks the fourth wall by looking at the TV viewers and a laugh-track appears. When Wiggy Jiggy mentions Santa Claus, He looks at the viewer and winks at him or her.
[edit] Goofs
- Billy's fish from Lil' Porkchop made a cameo in Dream Mutt, during the flashback of how Billy treated the last pet he had. In the credits, Lil' Porkchop is called Lil' Porkchip.
- Although all four of the "Dream Mutt" canine contestants that were combined into Wiggy Jiggy Jed were female, Jed is a male dog.
