Caramon Majere (326 AC - 38 SC) is a fictional character from the Dragonlance series of books.
Caramon Majere is one of the most pivotal characters in the entire Dragonlance series, perhaps only outshone by Tanis Half-Elven, Tasslehoff Burrfoot, and his twin brother Raistlin Majere in terms of the impact he has had on the series and the world of Ansalon. He was a prominent supporting character in the Chronicles Trilogy, taking an important role in most of the company's adventures, and the protagonist of the Legends Trilogy during which he quite literally saved the world. He is also the father of Palin Majere, who is probably the most important and influential of all the children of the Heroes of the Lance. For more information, see Caramon Majere.

Goldmoon (also known as Goldmoon of the Que Shu tribe or just Goldmoon of the Que Shu) is a fictional character from the Dragonlance fantasy series of novels and role playing games, originally published by TSR, Inc. and later by Wizards of the Coast.
Introduced in the first book of the original Chronicles Trilogy, Dragons of Autumn Twilight, written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman in 1984, Goldmoon has became a recurring character for over 16 years in multiple Dragonlance novels and series, as either a protagonist or a support character.
As with the other protagonists of the trilogy, Goldmoon's first appearance was during a tabletop role-playing game session in which Tracy and Laura Hickman, Margaret Weis and Terry Phillips between others, set up the basic storyline of Dragonlance. For more information, see Goldmoon.

Tasslehoff Burrfoot (often called Tas) is a fictional character of the kender race from the Dragonlance series of novels, written by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. He was born in Kendermore. His parents' are unknown, and his known family is little. He has a sister, and also claims (like many other kender) to have an Uncle Trapspringer. He has three uncles, by the names of Remo Lockpick, Bertie, and Wilfre. He also has a cousin, Latchlifter Furrfoot.
Tas was just a bit under four feet tall. He had a slight build and slender, pointed ears. He also had brown hair and brown eyes. His hair was tied into a topknot, which most kender have and are extremely fond of. When he became old, his face was wrinkled. Tas hated being bored, and on the occasion that he was, he was known to begin talking about meaningless things to anyone who would listen. For more information, see Tasslehoff Burrfoot.
Fizban "The Fabulous" is secretly the mortal avatar of Paladine. Though he is wise and powerful, he disguises his true purpose in the form of a clumsy and absent-minded wizard.
During the Chronicles Trilogy, Paladine helped the Heroes of the Lance indirectly through Fizban. The kender Tasslehoff Burrfoot, one of the heroes, also became a close friend of Fizban.
Weis and Hickman later introduced a similar character in the Death Gate Cycle named Zifnab, and in The Mantle of Kendis-Dai named Zanfib. Both names are anagrams of Fizban. For more information, see [[Characters related to Paladine.

Raistlin Majere (326 - 356 AC) is a fictional character from the Dragonlance series of books. He was considered by some to be the most powerful magic-user on Krynn. Raistlin was the brother of Caramon Majere, another Hero of the Lance. For more information, see Raistlin Majere.
- Raistlin is cynical and sarcastic. He takes joy from seeing others stammer; a clear representation of his superiority complex. However, due to his physical weakness, breathing difficulties, (and his twin brother Caramon's physical superiority and more sociable attitude) he has a slight inferiority complex as well. It forges the core of the jealousy he feels for his twin brother in his early life.
- Raistlin is extremely callous. He views those around him as pawns to be used, should it prove necessary, to achieve his ends. His manipulation of Crysania, cleric of Paladine, is a good example of this.
- Raistlin is not compatible with collectivity, which ultimately labels him as selfish. His actions are for his benefit alone; should they benefit others, it would be merely coincidental.
- In encounters with those that are inferior, being looked down upon or oppressed, Raistlin reveals a rather caring and charitable side of himself (His kindness towards Bupu the Gully Dwarf, for example, shows this). It seems that he can relate to their conditions, and he pities them also.
- Raistlin does not believe in the concept of loyalty. If his plan or goal doesn't appear to be through the salvation of others (i.e. The Dragon Orb incident) he simply chooses to walk his own way.
- Raistlin bears a greed for power itself. This appears to be an outcome of his early life, yet, still the only thing that he seeks is power.
- Raistlin covers his own weak self image with arrogance, always trying to prove that he is "better" than those around him. So twisted is his view of the world that rather than thank others for their help, he instead insults the qualities that allowed other people to help him in his times of need. Being more powerful and better than everyone else is often more important than following the leaders in his mind.
- Yet, at times, Raistlin also seems to want to go back to the easier times that he had with his friends. He has showed a liking toward his brother occasionally that could be considered real brotherly love instead of fondness for a pawn. Although, he is often cloaked in his cynical mindset, there may just be a Raistlin in there longing to belong.

According to Tracy Hickman, he needed a powerful character for the Heroes of the Lance to fight at the High Clerist's Tower, and Lord Soth suddenly came into his mind with a complete history and personality.
This picture is during the War of the Lance, in which Takhisis was trying to enter Krynn in her physical form, and Soth was in command of her undead legion. Under his command, great number of undead creatures (including several of his fellow death knights and banshees with wyvern-carried chariots) breached Palanthas the Unconquered City. However, Soth had his own motivations. His goal was not to serve Takhisis, but to acquire the soul of one of her generals, a Dragon Highlord, the human female, Kitiara Uth Matar, (whose self-serving nature and survival-instinct had somehow rekindled his undead heart), and to make her become his eternal consort. However, due to the treachery of one of his servants, Caradoc, his plan failed. The computer role-playing game Death Knights of Krynn which Soth was featured in was also happened during this era. For more information, see Lord Soth#War of the Lance.

Verminaard of Nidus was the Commander of the Red Dragonarmy of Ansalon, who gained his position after Phair Caron's death at the hands of the Silvanesti elves.
Wielding a powerful magical mace, Nightbringer, he established himself in Pax Tharkas, from where he planned the invasion of Abanasinia. Protected by Ember, a red dragon, he was in charge of Pax Tharkas's mines, supplying ore for weapons and armour to the Dragonarmies.
Verminaard became one of the first true clerics since the Cataclysm, gaining holy powers which he used against the Heroes of the Lance during his final battle. However, ultimately Takhisis abandoned him, leading to his death at the heroes' hands.
