Drapht is an Australian hip hop singer from Perth, Western Australia. He is a member of the Syllaboliks Crew, which comprises of fellow Australian hip hop artists from Perth. Drapht is currently signed to the Obese Records record label.
His latest album, Who Am I is a quantum leap for local hip–hop and a huge step forward for Drapht, with all production handled by Dazastah (Downsyde), Fdel and Drapht, the rich soundscape varies from hardcore head bangers to soulful melodies. Drapht’s unique voice and original flow cuts effortlessly through textures. With almost soprano clarity he touches on a plethora of topics from politics, sex and addiction to drunken antics, all without alienating the listener. Special appearances on the album include: Pressure (Hilltop Hoods), Pegz (Obese), Fdel (Invada Records), Downsyde, Layla, Hunter, Clandestien, MJ, Selekt, Carlsani and Porsah Lane.
Drapht has opened for acts such as Hilltop Hoods, Dilated Peoples(Expansion Team), Downsyde, Koolism, Celph Titled & Apathy, Rodney P & Skitz, Mystro, Shortcut, Killa Kela, Resin Dogs, Mark B and many more. He has performed in Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Canberra, Cairns, Margaret River, Albany, Townsville, Newcastle, Geelong and Adelaide.
