[edit] Overview

Captain Abraham Van Helsing (Van Dien) and his crew are salvage experts that make a living in the year 3000 by capturing abandoned space vessels and selling them for scrap. In their travels, they find a large space station that has supposedly been empty for 50 years after leaving the Carpathian sector of the Transylvania Galaxy. When they arrive on board, they find a storage hall filled with coffins. As 187 (Coolio) and Humvee (Lister Jr.) open the coffins in the hope of finding valuables to bring home, they find only sand. After opening a few coffins, 187 cuts his hand with a crowbar and spills some blood into one of the coffins. As Humvee leaves him to assist other crew members, Dracula awakens and takes 187 as his first minion.

The story then continues very much in a typical horror B-movie as one by one, most of the members of the crew are killed or transformed into vampires themselves.
