[edit] The Focus Group
The article was deleted because it didn't assert notability. All the article said was that it's a musical project, with no indication that it's a well known and/or important musical project. -- Steel 11:25, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Please read the criteria for speedy deletion. Articles #7 applied to your article. -- Steel 14:06, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- It is not required that I see if there are objections before I delete the article. And the speedy keep guideline has absolutely nothing to do with this in the slightest. There was absulutely no assertion of notability in that article. If you can provide one, I'll undelete it and send it through WP:AFD instead. -- Steel 14:22, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- I've restored the article, feel free to add the information you just told me to assert it's notability. I'll be around later this evening to put it up on articles for deletion. -- Steel 15:34, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Because it's still not notable. Just not not-notable enough to speedy delete. -- Steel 16:23, 9 October 2006 (UTC)

Ghost Box reads like an advert and has to go. Hauntology may be vaguely notable, but you'll have to make your case on the AfD, because I'm unconvinced it's worth keeping. -- Steel 18:57, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Can I ask how ghost box reads like an advert? Im not associated with the label in any way.
-
- Well it's not that much like an advert, but phrases like "The small number of artists may be explained by the label's determination to stick closely to its original sound and philosophy. Knowledge of the label and its music is growing" and "Ghost Box's artists are often thought of as pioneers of the Hauntology musical genre." don't do it any favours. -- Steel 19:05, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Could you clarify on the Afd that you're User:81.154.130.6 to avoid confusion? And sign your posts with "~~~~", again, to make it easier for others to follow the discussion. Thanks. -- Steel 19:18, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Let's let the AfD run it's course. -- Steel 19:53, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- After a few days (usually around 5) an administrator will turn up and decide whether the community (those who participated on the Afd) think the articles should be kept or deleted. It's not a vote, so even if you end up in the minority it's still possible for it to end the way you want it. -- Steel 20:09, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
