Doyle New York

Doyle New York is an auction house. They are auctioneers and appraisers of fine art, jewelry, furniture, decorative arts as well as other categories. Approximately forty sales are held each year. Kathleen Doyle is the CEO.
Founded in 1963, Doyle's has auctioned off artwork and personal possessions linked with and from the estates of many noted individuals. These have included performers James Cagney, Bette Davis, Ruth Gordon, Rex Harrison, and Rock Hudson; musicians Marian Anderson, Louis Armstrong, and Count Basie; and most recently interior designer Robert Denning.
In May of 2006 they sold copy #4 of 25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy inscribed "Jerry" on the front cover, which was given to Geraldine Stutz, who was with I. Miller Shoes at the time. She later became president of Henri Bendel and later while head of Panache Press an imprint of Random House she used this copy for a facsimile edition printing in 1987. Her estate consigned the original limited edition to Doyle New York where it sold for US $35,000.
