Backup boys - I looked up this guy because someone said he was comptroller when $2,600,000,000,000 ( I think that is a trillion+) went missing. Was the $$$$$$$ ever found? Was he transferred without the $$$$$$$ being found? Maybe he found where it went - answers?? Where I read this I thought the writer was probably a nut - thanks for clearing that up - he appears not to be, at least got this one right.

[edit] Amazing connections & Unanswered questions

As with the 9/11 attacks, there appears to have been no criminal investigation (or a public investigation of any kind) into the missing trillions leaving a lot of unanswered questions lying around (such as who really did it?). It is not known when the trillions went missing, i.e., we don't know if it was during Zakheim's position as comptroller or not. Zakheim's connections with remote controled aricraft and PNAC, along with the possibility that 2 trillion in stolen DoD cash went towards funding the "New Pearl Harbor", makes it very hard to resist suspecting that he played a central role in the 9/11 attacks. With the Feds not doing their jobs, we're left with only a burning suspicion. I'd love to see more research done on Zakheim to clear up some of these questions. At the very least, the missing money scandal could not have been buried so easily.
