Douglas Road (Miami)

Douglas Road, locally known as either Douglas Road or Northwest or Southwest 37th Avenue, is a north-south street east of Miami International Airport and west of downtown Miami in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The southern terminus is Edgewater Drive (Coconut Grove) in the city of Miami. From this point it continues north through Miami until it crosses Coconut Grove Drive at Coral Gables Hospital, where it divides the city of Coral Gables to the west from the city of Miami to the east.
It enters Coral Gables fully for a short distance at Palma (Southwest 2nd Street) then redivides the city of Miami from Coral Gables, but on the opposing sides, with Miami to the west and Coral Gables to the east. It does this for a short distance then fully re-enters the city of Miami between Southwest 1st Street and West Flagler Street.
It continues north through Miami until it crosses a canal after Northwest 20th Street and enters unincorporated Miami-Dade County.
It continues north a short distance until it breaks at Northwest 25th Street near Palmer Lake and the Miami Canal C-6.
It continues north through Miami-Dade County on the other side of the Miami Canal C-6 at NW North River Drive until it dead-ends inside the Seaboard Coast Line railyard east of Hialeah.
It continues once again at NW 135th Street (Opa-locka Boulevard)at the Le Jeune-Douglas Connector until it exits Miami-Dade County and continues into Broward County as Douglas Road.
It continues north through Broward County as Douglas Road until it crosses Sheridan Street (NW 25th St) where it becomes Pine Island Road.
