Douglas Hart
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Douglas Hart was the original bassist for Scottish Band The Jesus and Mary Chain, and played with the group from 1984 to 1987. He now runs a music video production company.
Hart is memorable for wearing black sunglasses and usually playing with less than four strings on his bass. He stated that making the music videos for JAMC was a waste of time, and he looked bored in the few studio videos he was in. Ironically, Hart went on to found his own video company and direct music videos. Douglas went on to make videos for Creation Records, like My Bloody Valentine's "Soon", and directed Stone Roses Home Videos like Live Blackpool. He also directed the music videos for Wolfman featuring Pete Doherty "For Lovers" and The Libertines' Can't Stand Me Now. He also worked as producer for "Jesse Garon and The Desperadoes".
