Douglas Gillette

Douglas Gillette is an author who has written a series of five books with co-author Robert L. Moore that explore the archetypal level of the human psyche. He is also the author of The Shaman's Secret: The Lost Resurrection Teachings of the Ancient Maya. Gillette has worked as a mythologist, artist, and pastoral counselor, and is cofounder of the Institute for World Spirituality. Together with Moore, Gillette uses a modern adaptation of Carl Jung's psychology, and has played an important role in the men's movement in the United States. Gillette's expertise in mythology has also led his books to be considered some of the most influential works in the mythopoetic branch of the men's movement.
