Douglas Brenton

Douglas Brenton - Baritone/Baritenor (Born on January 30, 1991 at Bridgewater, Nova Scotia) is a young singer who is known as the boy-soprano soloist Nova Scotia premier of Chichester Psalms - Leonard Bernstein in May, 2001 with the King's Chorale in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. November 2005, he was a guest soloist at the Silver Medal Presentations (Royal Conservatory of Music, Halifax) for achieving the highest mark on his vocal exam through out Atlantic Canada. In the Royal Conservatory of Music's Academic year 2006, he received his 2nd Silver Medal for achieving the highest mark on this vocal exam through out Atlantic Canada. He has represented the Bridgewater Kinsmen Music Festival at the Provincial Level in the voice category in 2006.
Now he lives at home and studies voice with coaches around the area. Working with professional conductors living around the world, his list includes Stephen Chatman, Diane Loomer, Julia Davids, Scott Leithead, Stephen Hatfield and more. Winning many local awards, he sings with the Nova Scotia Youth Choir and tours with them. When Douglas finishes High School, he is going to go complete his Bach. Music; Major in Voice Performance at an undecided University somewheres in Ontario, Canada then moving on to do his Masters in Voice Performance and Conducting.
