Doug Shedden

Douglas Arthur "Doug" Shedden (born April 29, 1961 in Wallaceburg, Ontario) is a Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player.
Shedden, who played the position of centre, spent eight seasons playing in the National Hockey League for the Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Quebec Nordiques and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was drafted 93rd overall by the Penguins in the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. In 416 career NHL games, Shedden recorded 139 goals and 186 assists for 325 points.
Shedden is currently the head coach of Jokerit of the Finnish SM-liiga. He previously coached HIFK, another Finnish SM-liiga team. Before moving to Finland Shedden coached St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League, and he also has coaching experience from the CHL, ECHL and UHL.
Shedden will coach the Finnish national men's ice hockey team in the 2007-08 season in addition to coaching Jokerit; he will be followed in this role by Jukka Jalonen in 2008.
