Doug Rowland

Douglas Charles Rowland, CD , MA (born June 14 1940) is a former Canadian politician, and current chair of the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians.
Rowland was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and served as a lecturer before being elected to the Canadian House of Commons in a 1970 by-election for the electoral district of Selkirk, Manitoba. He was a member of the New Democratic Party, and was re-elected in the 1972 general election, but was defeated in the 1974 election.
As Chairperson of the Canadian Association of Former Parliamentarians, Rowland is last in the Canadian order of precedence. He also helps with the creation of the association's magazine Beyond the Hill for which he writes a column called "From the Chair's Desk."
He also recently helped to examine Iraq electoral results, as part of the International Mission for Iraqi Elections.
