Doug Capilla

Douglas Edmund Capilla, born January 7, 1952 in Honolulu, Hawaii, was a Major League Baseball player drafted by the San Francisco Giants in 1970.
In 1973, the St. Louis Cardinals drafted him from the Giants where he played until 1977. Between 1977-79 he played for the Cincinnati Reds, then for the Chicago Cubs until 1981. In December 1981 the Cubs traded Capilla back to the San Francisco Giants in exchange for Allen Ripley. On March 29, 1982, he was released by the San Francisco Giants.
Capilla was a graduate of Westmont High School in Campbell, California as well as West Valley College in Saratoga, California.
