Double episode

A double episode is a type of TV show episode that starts a new storyline after the commercial break. The children's cartoons on Nickelodeon are often an example of this.
Technically, a double episode is a single episode split into 2 played on the same half hour. However, some channels air them as two single 15 minute episodes. Some TV series that have a scheme of double episodes may throw in some single 30 minute episodes.
