[edit] Factual accuracy

I know that the editors of the page have worked hard on it. However, there is still one major issue: it needs sources. I'm probably being a pain in the ass, but Wikipedia's official policy states that an article must be sourced so that other readers can check it's factual accuracy. Right now, I'm a little doubtful of some of the claims made, particularly that Tireh can hit C6 in chest voice, or can hold a sung note for 40 seconds. If they are not sourced, I'm afraid that the page will have to be flagged with both {{disputed}} and {{unreferenced}} tags.

PS: While the audio clips do help, they are not enough. One can listen to the notes and claim they're B6, while another can claim to hear G9. We need an authoritative/prefessional and published source. Orane (talkcont.) 01:10, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
We are not done editing this page we are going as Tireh's manager sends us samples he said he will be sending the whistle notes tomorrow —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.119.151.57 (talk • contribs) 02:40, 1 August 2006 (UTC).
Will he send you the link to a published article on Tireh's vocal ability? If not, then again, these samples mean nothing. Yes, it will be clear that he can sing in the whistle register, but the particular notes that he hits will be unclear. Orane (talkcont.) 02:40, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

He said that he will be sending me an atricle that is in Tireh's Press kit that covers theese notes, so with that said i think that should do it and besides that he is sendinng me some whistle files as well.

Please put up more music from him. I have been DYING to hear something from him. He's amazing!

C1-B7 is not 6 octaves. It's one note under 7. Did you mean C2? I don't know anyone who can sing a C1. That's 3 octaves below middle C. Or maybe you meant B6.

I thought more clips of him would be put up?

We are working on that, his manager is super slow and there is some stuff they dont want people getriing thier hands on so for every request wee have to send over a fax and it takes them like 2-3 days to respond. SO be patient it will all be up soon

[edit] Constant edits

someone relly needs to stop editing this page, you are making yourself look silly with all of your mis-spelled word and your information is incorrect. please quit while you are ahead i hate refering someone to this page and it doesnt say the same thing with-in a 2 hour time frame.

If the page was remotely readable, then no one would need to edit it. Orane (talkcont.) 00:12, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Journalist I know you are not commenting on the grammar of this page when you are the one who fixed it in the first place people need to stop removing images and shorting sentences, I am the author of this page and I respect peoples opions, but people are only editing this page to downplay TIreh's talents.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.119.151.57 (talk • contribs) 15:09, 8 August 2006 (UTC).
Yes, you may be the 'author' of this page. However, you have absolutely no control over it (and neither do I). Anyone can edit this page if he or she wants. No one wants to downplay Tireh's talents. Also, I hope that you do not see this page as Tireh's new website given that his official website is down. Wikipedia is not a host or free webspace provider. (I don't mean to sound rude, I'm just telling it like it is.) Orane (talkcont.) 15:09, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

People on here are too crazy for me.. I will just stick to going to TIreh's blog.. he's mad cool and people dont judge or critique him over there.

I'm not trying to make anything a website, Tireh does not need any futher promotion of who he is and what he can do, you personally asked for proof and i gave you just that, futhermore looking at articles that you have edited in the past, i think you need to practice what you preach Mr. Mariah Carey, Wikipedia nneds to moniter your editing because as bias as you are you shouldnt be in such a postion, and I dont mean to sound rude.. In conclusion I'm just posting what the fans want to know there should be no reason that links and images are being deleted.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.119.151.57 (talk • contribs) 16:16, 8 August 2006 (UTC).
So you are saying that because I like Mariah Carey, I make a bad administrator, mediator or advocate? Please tell me how I've been biased; I'm dying to know. Wikipedia does monitor my editing; in fact, every edit anyone has ever made is monitored. If you wish, you can view my edits by going here and clicking "(diff)" for each article. Yes, links and images should be deleted in accordance with the many, many policies Wikipedia has. People are only trying to follow these policies when they edit this page. Before you get angry and think that people are trying to destroy the article, I'd advise you to read them. Orane (talkcont.) 16:16, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
  • I think I'm going to have to side with the previous unsigned person. Throughout my visits to wikipedia i have noticed that this page as well as Adam Lopez's page seem to be constantly edited. I don't know if people FEEL ITS TABOO that we have no proven males to be able to sing as high or higher than females, or just as plain as people being intimidated that they believe a certain person does not hold the highest note in history. Whatever the case may be its progressing to a point that myself as well as other are going to partition that wikipedia cannot be edited or or articles or content can not be taken down without proof or valid reasoning for such removal. Because for this to be an information source, at times it feels like a tabliod newsletter.
  • I'm a very aware of who Journalist is, and yes he does seem to take on a bias side when it comes to proving facts about Beyonce or Mariah, I can not count the may of times where I have seen him fabricate sales,or argue with other members in regards to these similar matters. But, as you say all the time journalist, you really need to realize what wikipedia is not as well as what you are not. You are not sound scan, World Music Awards or any other credited source. However, I do understand where this unsigned person is coming from with the deletion issues. It seems anytime someone puts up anything on Tireh, its always a debate but when proof is provided its either debated or deleted. Journalist is not a bad person however, he is extremely helpful to the wikipedia family, it just seems to me that he does make bias decisions like taking off the fact that Tireh is a powerhouse, when in fact he is. Journalist you cited that "powerhouse" does not fit encyclopedia diction, then why is it on other pages that i have seen you edit "such as Mariah's" its still there? I feel what's fair for others should be fair for all, If people are going to try and find the smallest mediocre words, shorten sentences removed adjectives and try and take away from this page then why even have it here? That's just my take {Sinckerdoolde)

First off, I have not fabricated any sales regarding Mariah Carey or Beyonce, nor have I ever pretended to be soundscan or WMA. All I've done is make sure that only cited figures are included in these articles (whether or not the fans or cynics agree).
What you guys need to understand here is that 'vocal range' has been a very disputable issue since day one, and people become very skeptical when any one is touted as being able to sing high notes. Many editors of the Wikipedia community have also become very frustrated with the entire issue (See Vocal profile controversy). First off, the inclusion of "vocal profiles" in articles conflicted with WP:notability and WP:Verifiability, since these profiles were unencyclopedic, 3/4 of them lacked sources and were changed 24/7's by fans, and it seemed as if people's singing abilities were being judged by the ammount of octaves they possessed. Believe it or not, this was the issue with Tireh. This page was a complete mess in every sense of the word: it lacked any sources, the writing was extremely poor, and it read like a fan-profile. Having an interest in singing and music, it is natural that I would gravitate to this page, and given the problems Wiki has had with "vocal profiles", its also natural for me to request sources and heavily edit the page. It's unfortunate that everyone veiws me as this big, biased wolf.
  1. Yes, Sinckerdoolde. "Powerhouse" is unencyclopedic. And no, it is not, nor was it ever (by my knowledge) included in the Mariah Carey article. It is impossible for me to edit the grammar of every page and correct the unencyclopedic and downright dotish words. However, if I find it in a page that I have an interest in, then I will remove it. At least it's a start.
  2. The reason I removed one of the images is that it is a copyright violation to have too many images in an article (Plus the inclusion of two images distorted the page.) Really, it is best for new users to become acquainted with policies and guidelines before they try to apprehend someone who is acquainted with them and edits accordingly.
  3. Yes, proof is always an issue with Tireh. And this reveals a more glaring problem with the article: the subject is not notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia. (If he was, there would be more articles written about him on the net, and Wikipedia would have a source for all this information.) Orane (talkcont.) 14:23, 11 August 2006 (UTC)

Awesome!, Journalist.. you have stated your side and I'm glad you feel that Tireh should not be included in this encyclopedia, however the part about articles not being written about him is a crock of s*it. He is constantly written about by uncredited and credited sources all over the world, he is constantly search about on google and other search engines, he was interviewed for two magazines and he was also in a DC magazine for millionaires under 25, not to metion a Miami car magazine for his Mercedes S500 and BMW 741 Li, and mind you this is before the public had heard a single.. bought an album or anything, so i feel someone who's getting that much attention does deserve to be written about, no matter where it is. But this is all I'm going to say about this garbage because I'm not the type to argue I didn't create this page, but I do believe it stands merit and I'm gonna stick to my feelings about it being shortened to try and obscure Tireh's true talents. Honestly Journalist if you dont like it just look the other way cause Tireh is going to shine regardless.Sinckerdoolde
What? Do you really think that I care whether or not Tireh has success? Believe me. That's the last thing on my mind right now. If there are so many articles about him, why is it impossible to find him on google (except for this Wikipedia page, as well as those pages that have coppied from Wikipedia) ([1]). You think that I have shortened the page to "obscure" his talents? Whatever. I'm done defending myself. Just one last point though: take a look at these two articles. Tell me which one reads better (grammar and cohrence). Tell me which one looks like an encyclopedia entry (neutral and stable). And finally: I dare you to identify information that is in one article that is not in the other. Probably this may make it clear that while the article's length has changed, the information remains the same. article #1 article #2 In any case though, this is my last post here. I will continue to edit this page (as I see fit) in accordance with the policies and guidelines. If you don't like it, that's just too bad for you. Orane (talkcont.) 15:46, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

look both of you this is not a forum. please quit with the back and forth, your conversations have nothing to do with this article, and Orane you should know better, But in essence i did find several things on Tireh, the internet is not our only source of information.. its just a place toi broaden searches.. I do know that Tireh used to go by the name Dobelique, because i remembr him on a radio station here in Ny. but in any case I like the unedited one better (but not that far back of an edit), some of the new editing does make the page seem monotone and unimportant, but thats just my opinion, god gave us all talents and siging just happens to be his so please stop with the hating already.

Actually, we are discussing the article (its neutrality, stability, tone, inclusion on Wikipedia etc). Orane (talkcont.) 02:41, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Anybody have some Internet sources that we can add for this article? I like those because they are very easily verifiable.
