Dornach is a municipality in the district of Dorneck, in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland. The village was the location of the decisive 1499 Battle of Dornach, which ended the Swabian War and effectively ensured the independence of the Old Swiss Confederacy from the Holy Roman Empire.
