[edit] History
Doris was a pensioner spinster who met Jim Branning at the gym in Walford and set her sights on him.
Doris pestered Jim and even started going to his house to see him while his wife Dot was away. She sent Jim a Valentine's day card, and intercepted Dot's card in the mail, making Jim think that Dot had forgotten their anniversary.
When Jim hurt his back, Doris gave him a massage on his bed, only to be interrupted by Dot returning home. After Dot refused to sleep in the same room as Jim, he went for a drink with Doris and was torn between the two women.
Patrick Trueman persuaded Jim to make a list of pros and cons about both women. Dot found the list and left Jim, leaving Doris to think she'd won. Dot later moved back in with Jim and Doris left Albert Square. She has not been seen since.
