Doris M. Johnson High School is a public high school located in northeastern Baltimore City. It was created in the 2004-2005 school year in result of the breakup of Lake Clifton Eastern High School into smaller high schools. It is considered a neighborhood high school and has adopted the Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound program which emphasizes high achievement through active learning, character growth and teamwork.

As of the 2006-2007 school year, the school currently has a school uniform dress code of school issued colored shirts color-coded by grade:

  • 9th Grade - Yellow
  • 10th Grade - Hunter Green
  • 11th Grade - Black
  • 12th Grade - White

Students also must abide by the Exclusionary Dress Code set by the Baltimore City Public School System. The administration of Doris M. Johnson can refuse entry of any student who violates the dress code and repeated violations can result in a parent meeting with an administrator.

As of the 2006-2007 school year, Doris M. Johnson has two types of awards and recognitions.

  • Distinction Roll - Student must have earned an average of 90 or better with no grades below 90.
  • Merit Roll - Student must have earned an average of 85 or better with no grade below 80.
  • Honor Roll - Student must have earned an average of 80 or better with no grade below 70.
  • Success Roll - Student must have earned an average of 70 or better with no grade below 60.

Only given to students who attend school for a full semester without any absences or latenesses on record.
