Doris Brown was born September 17, 1942 in Tacoma, Washington. Education: Peninsula high school in Gig Harbor, Washington 1960. Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington, B.A., 1964. M.S.. 1971.
Inducted into the USATF Hall of Fame in 1990. Second female inducted into United States Track Coaches Hall of Fame in 1999. Inducted into the National Distance Running Hall of Fame in 2002.
