Dorcas Good
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Dorcas (or Dorothy) Good was the four-year-old daughter of Sarah Good who was also accused of being a witch during the Salem witch trials. She spent 8 months in the Salem jail before release and had to watch her mother be carted off to the gallows. Her baby sister died in jail. For the remainder of her life, she had extreme emotional problems due to her early persecution.
Of the two names, Dorothy was her birth name, and Dorcas is how it appeared on the arrest warrant, and thereby became the most commonly cited version despite the error.
