There are several notable persons named Dopyera (sometimes spelled Dopera):
- John Dopyera, inventor of the resonator guitar.
- Emile Dopyera, aka Ed Dopera, brother of John and manufacturer of resonator guitars in his own right.
- Rudy Dopyera, brother of John and Emile, partner of Emile in founding the Original Musical Instrument Company in 1967.
- Robert and Louis Dopyera, brothers of John, Emile, and Rudy, all of whom founded the Dobro Manufacturing Company in 1928, Dobro being a contraction of Dobyera brothers.
