- I took off the neutrality disclaimer as there is no discussion on the topic and no reason to keep it given the current revisions
- I added information today that was confirmed by calling the site's General Info, Advertising Opportunities Telephone Number (323.253.9819). I spoke with Tasha Joseph (the site's creator and founder) directly to verify all posted content (even that which contradicts her public statements). I would like to propose an article on Ms. Joseph herself as this is important to understanding the motives and administration of the site.
- I added a cleanup tag... lots of incorrectly used wording, terminology (STI ?), and just a general non-encyclopedic feel to the whole article. Basically needs a complete rewrite for tone, language, etc.--Isotope23 19:30, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- Tag returned. To say the writing of this article is one-sided is more than generous. Characterizing Ms. Joseph as "Tasha" is un-polished and meant to add humanizing emphasis to the anti-male stance of the site. The site makes scant mention that ANYONE .. not just women can post, understating the true lack of controls on the site. Also, the wiki fails to mention that the unchecked "membership" can post on a man whether they have dated (meet, etc) or not.
The page BURYS the fact the there is a web page devoted to ending Ms. Joseph's profits derived from defaming unwitting men. The "close friends" reference is spurrious at best. The page minimizes the fact that men are often unaware that their images and personal information are on the web for thousands daily to review. The fact that Ms. Joseph thinks it is like a "credit report" is a mockery of that or any other ranking institution that incorporates a modicum of fact checking in their analysis. Slander and Libel, the themes of at least one pending suit, need to be emphasised as many of the cited articles mention: these themes are equally important as the focus and goal of "Tasha."
This page bends the truth in a way that is irresponsible and unfair to the readers of Wikipedia. People who use this resource need to understand that the free-wheeling nature of the site makes it more that a "forum;" it makes it a weapon. Negative articles, and negative portions of the articles cited sbout this site are conspicuously omitted. Conclusive statements are drawn from out of context quotes. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.150.184.170 (talk • contribs) November 5, 2006.
- Since information in Wikipedia must be verifiable, just find a source that makes those statements (please note, it needs to be a reliable source and not a blog or forum) and its easy to include it. Unfortunately, Wikipedia policies don't allow personal opinions in articles. If you have thoughts about how the current wording could be changed to make it more neutral please do so, but skewing it to the other extreme isn't the way to handle your concerns. See WP:NPOV for some discussion on how to write articles from a neutral and factual point of view. Shell babelfish 01:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Survived AfD
Yeah dude, you don't know what a STI is? One of the girls said her boyfriend who has an STI cheated on her, she lied, so I added it to the page so to point out the fact that there can be lies there.
