Donnacha Cody (born 24 December 1985) is an Irish sportsperson. He is a member of the Kilkenny senior hurling team.
Donnacha Cody was born in Kilkenny in 1985. He was born into a family that had a strong association with hurling. His father, Brian Cody, played senior hurling with Kilkenny in the 1970s and 1980s, winning four All-Ireland medals during his career. Cody's mother, Elsie, was a native of County Wexford and played senior camogie with Wexford. Cody was educated locally and later attended St. Kieran's College, a virtual hurling academy for young players. During his tenure there he was part of the team that won two All-Ireland Colleges medals. He first came to prominence in 2003 when he won an All-Ireland Minor medal with Kilkenny. Cody joined the senior hurling panel in 2006, under the management of his father. He won a National Hurling League medal early in the year and made his championship debut against Westmeath but lost his place on the team for the subsequent matches, including the Leinster Final which Kileknny won. An injury caused him to miss the All-Ireland Hurling Final, which Kilkenny also won. Cody has also had much success with his local club, James Stephens, winning Leinster and All-Ireland Club Championship medals.
