Don Edward Fehrenbacher (born August 21, 1920 in Sterling, Illinois, died December 13, 1997 in Stanford, California) was a well known Historian of 19th century US politics, Slavery, and Abraham Lincoln. He won the Pulitzer prize for his book about the Dred Scott Decision.
