Dolyna

Dolyna (Ukrainian: Долина, Polish: Dolina) is a city located in the Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (province) in western Ukraine. It is the administrative center of the Dolynsky Raion (district), and is located around 48°58′14″N, 24°0′40″E.

The current estimated population is around 20,900 (as of 2001).

The city, initially know by salt mines becomes widely recognized in 1950s after the discovery of Dolyna Oil Deposit. in 1958 the deposit was producing 65% of total oil extraction in the Ukrainian SSR.

The city has a football club FC Naftovik Dolyna.
