Doggcrapp training
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Doggcrapp training, or DC training, is a weight training methodology intended to help bodybuilders increase their muscle mass in a short amount of time. The methodology takes its unusual name from the screen name that creator Dante Trudell used when he first shared the methodology on the internet.[1]
[edit] Principles of DC training
- Heavy weights
- Low volume of exercise
- Rest-Pausing
- Extreme stretching
DC trainees use heavy weights with a lower number of repetitions and sets, as opposed to volume training, which uses lighter weights but with more repetitions and sets. After warming up, trainees will often do only one set of an exercise, but in three parts. The trainee will exert maximum force for as many repetitions as possible, then "rest-pause" (take several deep breaths), again exert maximum force for as many repetitions, rest-pause a second time, and exert maximum force for a third and final time for as many repetitions as possible.
Following weightlifting, the trainee will perform stretching to the point of pain, a practice called extreme stretching. Scientific studies have found stretching to increase muscle mass in birds.[2]
