Dr. Drakken is a fictional character in Disney's animated television series Kim Possible.
As Kim Possible's arch-nemesis and most frequent foe, Doctor Drakken is a mad scientist obsessed with world domination. His real name is Drew Theodore P. Lipsky (not to be confused with real-life radio psychologist Dr. Drew Pinsky), and he isn't a real doctor (he actually dropped out of college, which may explain why his inventions hardly ever work). However, he has shown a knack for getting into the heads of his foes to intimidate them and undermine their confidence, which may indicate he took a psychology course at some point and did well at it (though this is strictly speculation).
His catchphrase is "Kim Possible! You think you're all that, but you're NOT!", although he has modified the phrase to suit various situations. For example, in The Golden Years, he changes the catchphrase to tell Nana Possible about her lemon squares. However, in Kim Possible: So the Drama, Drakken finally admits Kim may be "all that".
Drakken is voiced by John DiMaggio, who also does additional voices.

[edit] Personality
A lifetime of anger and bitterness has left him with blue skin. Like Ron, Drakken's been an outcast most of his life, and is constantly trying to prove himself (albeit in a much more malevolent manner). Also like Ron, Drakken often comes across as clumsy and lacking common sense. Drakken and Ron have similar personalities and often act and speak similarly, but while Ron is fairly witty, Drakken is normally oblivious to the absurdity of situations and is more of a straight man.
Drakken usually comes up with grandiose, overly-complicated plans, typically involving such wacky 60's villain staples as killer robots, mind control, and death rays. He also tends to steal his Evil Inventions because the devices he invents himself usually either malfunction or try to kill him. (When Ron and Shego comment on this behavior, he angrily refers to it as "outsourcing.") Like many supervillains, Drakken frequently fails to pay attention to minor details, and on several occasions he's been foiled by his own poor planning rather than by Kim herself. Drakken is also one of the few villains who prefers to not fight Kim one-on-one, evidenced when he assembled the ultimate robot warrior for him to control, although he has had a few hand-to-hand skirmishes with Ron. In fact, despite having a somewhat imposing stature, Drakken is hardly a fighter in any respect and is one of a handful of villains that Ron has proved that he can take on even without the aid of his Mystical Monkey Power. In the episode A Very Possible Christmas, while trapped with Ron at the North Pole, the two got into a fight over a leftover piece of chicken, only to reveal that Drakken couldn't go the distance with Ron.
His main plans tended to become less and less grandiose as the series progressed, and he has tried to take over the world with such unorthodox weapons as giant dinosaurs, doomsday Humvees, mosquitos, and rap music.
Drakken was originally Dr. Possible's best friend, but turned evil in college, thanks to constant teasing from Dr. Possible, Professor Chen and Professor Ramesh. He also has an embarrassing, overbearing mother who, confusing him with a radio self-help doctor with a similar name, believes he helps people with their emotional issues rather than trying to conquer the world.
In Steal Wheels, when Motor Ed comments about everyone knowing the location of Drakken's "secret" lair, Drakken credits it to a magazine subscription.
[edit] Associated Characters
[edit] Shego
Shego is Drakken's evil "sidekick", actually a mercenary working on a contract, though she does most of the work. She is hostile towards her employer, but is one of the few villains to show compassion for others. Shego has super powers, being able to fire green plasma blasts from her hands.
In an alternate future, Shego was the only villain to take over the world, and enslaved Drakken to fight Kim Possible. She also genetically modified Drakken to grant him enhanced strength.
[edit] Mama Lipsky
Drakken's mother has been on the show a few times. She doesn't know that he's a mad scientist and thinks Drakken is running a self-help radio talkshow (with obvious reference to radio psychologist Dr. Drew Pinsky).
Mama Lipsky is voiced by Estelle Harris.
[edit] Motor Ed
Motor Ed is Drakken's mullet-headed cousin. Only appeared in the show twice, both also starring the wheelchair-bound Felix Renton. In his final appearance Drakken and Motor Ed team up and build the Doomvee, a vicious automobile, using technology from Felix's futuristic wheelchair.
[edit] Bart Lipsky
In the episode Rewriting History, Drakken learns of his 1930's ancestor, Bart Lipsky, and his attempt to steal a revolutionary (for its time) invention dubbed the "Electro-Static Illuminator". Drakken stated that it was Bart's evil genius that convinced him to become an evil genius himself (although, as Shego points out, his original motivation was to get revenge on his old college partners). Since the whole episode took place in a dream sequence, it's unknown as to how canon this is.
[edit] Commodore Puddles
Drakken's dog has made two appearances. However, they are inconsistent. In Kimitation Nation, Puddles is white and violent. In Rufus vs. Commodore Puddles, he's pink and slightly nicer. Shego also implies that Drakken never had a dog before then. It is unknown if Puddles will ever make a reappearance.
[edit] Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel
In the crossover with Lilo & Stitch: The Series Drakken was hired by Dr. Jacques von Hämsterviel to capture Experiment 626 (Stitch) and clone him. Accourding to Drakken, their cut was 50/50.
[edit] Trivia
- Drakken appeared in Disney Channel Games 2006 mini-show. In the show, he is the co-host, and was upset that he never gets to have fun such as making a super rock to beat paper and overheating the earth's core to flood the arena with magma.
