Doc Adkins

Merle Theron (Doc) Adkins (August 5, 1872 - February 21, 1934) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Boston Red Sox (1902) and New York Highlanders (1903). Adkins batted and threw righthanded. He was born in Troy, Wisconsin.
In a two-season career, Adkins posted a 1-1 record with 12 strikeouts and a 5.00 earned run average in 27.0 innings pitched.
Adkins died in Durham, North Carolina at age of 63.
