Dobie High School

J. Frank Dobie High School is a public secondary school located at 10220 Blackhawk in Houston, Texas with a ZIP code of 77089.
The school, which serves grades 9 through 12, is a part of the Pasadena Independent School District. As of 2006, the population of the school is approximately 3,000. However, school population continues to grow and two new hallways are being added to compensate for the growing population. This is also true but after Hurrican Katrina hit the population grew to 3,900 +.
Dobie, which was named after J. Frank Dobie, opened in 1969 (at 11111 Beamer Road, Houston, 77089). A new campus opened at its current address in 2003 [1] [2].

[edit] Neighborhoods served by Dobie
The school serves portions of Houston (including Riverstone Ranch [3], Scarsdale, Sycamore Valley, Beverly Hills, Sagemont, Kirkmont, and Bridgegate) and the Pasadena ISD portion of Pearland.
[edit] School uniforms
Like all Pasadena ISD schools, Dobie High School requires all students to wear school uniforms. [4]
Students are required to wear polo shirts or oxford shirts that are white, blue, or burnt orange.
Students are required to wear khaki or navy blue slacks or khaki or blue denim trousers (blue jeans). Skirts and jumpers are also allowed and must be in the same styles as the trousers. Students are required to wear belts.
Students are also required to wear school identification badges and keep their shirts tucked in at all times.

The following elementary schools feed into Dobie High School: Atkinson, Burnett, Frazier, Genoa, Jessup, Meador, Moore, and Stuchbery.
Beverly Hills and Thompson Intermediate schools feed into Dobie High School.
