Dobcross is one of the smallest villages in Saddleworth, in the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham, Greater Manchester, England. The River Tame runs through Dobcross. Historically part of Yorkshire, West Riding, it has three pubs (2004) and two churches.

It is famous for being the birthplace of the Platt Brothers- tycoons of the cotton industry. It was also the location of the 1979 film 'Yanks' starring Richard Gere, and is home to the successful Dobcross Youth Band and Silver Band. There is a strong affiliation with Yorkshire, although the Metropolitan Borough of Oldham is currently part of Greater Manchester.
