Do or Die is a gangsta rap trio originally from Chicago, Illinois, USA. The group experienced mainstream success with the single "Po Pimp", a collaboration with fellow Chicago rapper Twista, off the album "Picture This". Group members are Belo, Nard and AK-47.

Picture This was met with great enthusiasm by fans of midwest rap, bringing a Chicago voice to the dominantly coast-oriented rap game. Tracks like "Po Pimp", "Money Flow" spoke of the gang and pimp lifestyles in the Windy City.

After the success of "Picture This", the group took a lighter turn with their sophomore effort. The album spoke more about the life of success and pimping rather than the gritty street stories of their debut. The album again featured a track with Twista. The group would also guest on fellow Chicago rap group Crucial Conflict's "Good Side, Bad Side" album with the track "Airplane".

The third album from the group showed a further deviation from the gritty, Midwest-oriented flow that made them a favorite. The group moved to Houston, Texas to be near their record label at the time, Rap-A-Lot Records. The album benefitted from strong, hard-hitting production but lyrics and overall break of form left the album with less than enthusiastic accolades from fans.

Perhaps in response to the break in form of "Victory", the group reassembled for 2002's "Back 2 Tha Game" and returned to what fans expected of the Chicago pimp trio. Although not as "gangsta" as "Picture This", the album was welcomed by fans.

[edit] Belo On Trial For Murder

Group Member Belo is charged with the first-degree murder of Raynard Pinkston In November, 2002. He Has A Solo Album, The Truth due out throught Asylum Records. He Is Set To Stand Trial On October 3rd.
