The Dnipropetrovsk Metro (Ukrainian: Дніпропетровський Метрополітен, translit.: Dnipropetrovs`kyi Metropoliten; Russian: Днепропетровский Метрополитен, translit.: Dnepropetrovskiy Metropoliten) is a single-line metro system that serves the city of Dnipropetrovsk, the third largest city in the Ukraine. The metro was the third in Ukraine (after Kiev, and Kharkiv) when it opened in 1995.

The Dnipropetrovsk Metro was opened to the public in December of 1995 and has 6 stations. It runs from the Vokzalna station (Central Railway Station) in the east to the Komunarivska station in the west of the city. Opened from 5:30 in the morning till 23:00 at night it has a yearly passenger traffic of about 15 million passengers.

Currently the metro has only one line, Tsentralno-Zavods`ka with a total length of 7.1 kilometres. The stations of the Dnipropetrovsk Metro system were built and constructed following the typical Soviet palace style. However built during the economic recession of early 1990s, the decoration of the Metro stations lack the excessive vividness found in the Soviet time build metro.

Out of the six stations five are deep and one is shallow. Four deep stations are single vaults built on Leningrad Technology and one is a Pylon. The only shallow station is a pillar trispan. Initially the metro trains carried 5 train cars, but as the usage of the system declined, the number of wagons was reduced to 3 cars.

Currently under construction are three stations, starting from the Vokzalna station to the city center: the Teatral`na station (near the Teatre of Opera and Ballet), the Tsentral`na station, and the Muzeyna station (another variant of the name is Zhovtneva Ploshcha). The construction is expected to end in 2008. The stations Tsentral`na and Muzeyna are expected to be in operation sometime after 2008.

After the additions to the first line, the total length of first line is expected to be 11.82 km., with 9 stations. A second line is planned to cross the Dnieper River. A perspective of the Dnipropetrovsk Metro system is to have 80 km of track on 3 lines.
