what happened to not writing articles about yourself?

The rule isn't that you can't write an article about yourself (though it is strongly discouraged), but that you remain NPOV, use verifiable sources, and assert notability when doing so. See WP:AUTO --Tim4christ17 ^talk 08:44, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
