[edit] Background Information

DJ Switch, aka Anthony Culverwell, is one of the UKs most promising and fast-rising talents. Having started DJing aged 11 in 2000 and exploring the world of scratching a mere year later, this talented youngster has become a name to watch out for.

A member of the turntable crew SP1 (the Special Ones), Switch has made a massive impact on the DJ battle circuit. In a break from his exams in 2005, he won the Derby heat of the DMC competition, beating off 25 other contestants and performing at the national final. Anthony has also appeared on Radio 1's One World show with Ras Kwame as part of a feature on the battle finalists.

He also went on to win Youth Music's mixtape competition and play an opening slot at the Homelands festival in Winchester, performing alongside such names as the Scratch Perverts, Skinnyman, Grandmaster Flash & Kentaro.

On the 6th July 2006, history was made as Switch became the youngest person to win a UK DJ title, namely the DMC Battle For Supremacy. Now taking to live shows, his inclusion of musical history, originality, body tricks and technical skills make him a sure fire party rocker.
