Individual DF groups are usually based in a town or city, or in some cases a region. DF group meetings usually consist of a group of like minded individuals meeting up at a regular time and place (someones house, or a pub for instance, or even a community hall if the group is large enough) and taking part in usual woodcraft activities. These activities range through co-operative games, orgainising events, workshops and discussions, and general socialising!

The District Fellows movement also meets up on a national basis frequently, to hold both social, educational and business events allowing everyone to be involved in the running of DF's.

[edit] District Fellows Althing

Althing is the annual DF decision making event, usually held in October. Any DF member is entitled to go to Althing, to vote on and/or propose motions and to elect members to the DF committee. It is named after the ancient Icelandic Parliament( Althing ), where anyone could speak.

[edit] District Fellows Committee

District Fellows Committee is responsible for overseeing the running of the District Fellows movement. It consists of 9 regional reps and 5 "Other" posistions available to any DF member. All members of DF Committee are elected from the floor of Althing to stand for a 2 year term, with the exception of the Treasurer, who due to the complex nature of the job is on Committee for 3 years. On alternate years there is an extra role on committee of Shadow Treasurer who shadows the existing Treasurer for their final year before becoming treasurer themselves.
