[edit] Miscellanea
- All songs were written by Utada Hikaru. She recorded this album when she was 18.
- The song "Distance" was slowed down and made into another song called "Final Distance" in memory of a fan who was stabbed in her school.
- Rodney Jerkins, famed producer who's worked with R&B artists like Toni Braxton, joins Hikaru on "Time Limit."
- "Kotoba ni Naranai Kimochi"'s melody was originally "Interlude" on the First Love album. "Interlude" was remade into this full-length song.
- The "ri" on the song name "Hayatochiri" was removed, and added was the "Re" part of "Remix". Therefore you get "Hayatochi-Remix".
- Oricon recently announced 'Distance' as the current highest selling album of the 2000's in Japan. Ayumi Hamasaki's 'A BEST' is the closest to outselling Hikaru's album as the best selling of the 2000's in Japan.
