Dispositor
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In astrology, a dispositor is a planet or celestial body that is the natural ruler of a sign that another planet is posited in. The dispositor tends to have an influence on how the planet posited in the sign operates.
As an example, the Sun is posited in the sign of Aquarius, which is naturally ruled by Uranus. Uranus is the dispositor of Aquarius and will therefore have an impact on how the Sun operates when it is in that sign. Uranus will have the effect of making the Sun operate in an unusual, quirky, or even eccentric manner, and it would not operate in such a way if it was posited in any of the other eleven signs of the zodiac.
